Weren't invented yet doesn't actually mean the logic doesn't apply. There is a chances that Toriyama already planning for the future story by applying the same logic in here.
In the latest Super Hero Movie showed us the explanation for it too. A Saiyan would stay as a child body until a certain point of its age, they will growth into adult body. Yeah i know its not existed yet when you commented, i just gave explanation so other people who read this would know about it.
Plus Saiyan aging slower logic? That logic never existed. The Saiyan logic they ever mentioned are only, the Saiyan would stay in adult/best for fighting form after a certain age, even if they are in old age. That doesn't make them "age slower". They still age normally, it just they won't have old body.
